The most important part of the day is how you start your morning. Why not start it with affirmations? Here’s how!
Having a good morning routine and starting the day with mental health and wellness as priorities should be an important part of our lives. However, I know that most of us struggle (or have struggled at some point) with maintaining a mindful-oriented morning routine, particularly as we enter adulthood and allow ourselves to be carried away by what society and workplace expectations are.
Most of us grew up believing that to be successful and enjoy a comfortable retirement in most fields, we had to give it our all every day for many years. There was little to no discussion about how this might affect our overall happiness and mental health.
And, while we are beginning to have necessary mental health and self-care/self-love conversations, we frequently forget that it all begins the moment we wake up! The correct or incorrect morning routine can influence how your brain and body react to the rest of the day.
Importance of Morning Affirmations

As someone who has struggled in the past with having a more balanced work/personal life, prioritizing wellness, mindfulness, and mental health, and still succeeding and achieving everything I desired in life, I’m always looking for easier and more natural ways to help me have a great morning routine and stress-free start to the day.
Fortunately, there are numerous options! Experts always recommend some key factors: eating a healthy and wholesome breakfast, drinking plenty of water, teas or herbal shots, meditating, and so on.
So, when I decided to focus more on my morning routine, I looked for ways to incorporate the majority of it without feeling overwhelmed or as if I was pressuring myself into something that wouldn’t be sustainable in the long run.
I found a great balance between productivity and ease by always saying my morning affirmations while drinking tea, juice, or coffee before eating my overnight oats or delicious toast. This is a feasible way to prepare my mind for the rest of the day without having to wake up two hours earlier or disrupting my daily schedule.
Even on the busiest days, it doesn’t take long for me to repeat my favorites while still in bed. And I now make it a point to say my affirmations first thing in the morning. Positive morning affirmations have clearly paid off. They are extremely beneficial to me, even on days when I am sad, anxious, or overwhelmed.
What Are Morning Affirmations?
Morning affirmations are short or long mantras, quotes, or phrases that you will say, read, or think to put yourself and your mind in a good and positive emotional state. Encouragement or emotional support is one of the key meanings of the noun ‘affirmation.’
So, in my opinion, with these morning affirmations, we are the first to put our minds in a good place, encouraging the mind to be kind to itself, provide the necessary support, and hopefully remove any negatives that may appear in your thoughts throughout the day.
Affirmations are a great way to focus on your positive thoughts, relieve stress, pessimism, and gloom, and prepare your body to face whatever the day has in store for you mentally and physically. I believe that a strong body comes from a strong mind, not the other way around.

Do Morning Affirmations Work?
I believe in the power of the mind and the power of positive affirmations to bring positive thoughts, confident words, and a lot of energy into the world. These, in my opinion, will only bring beneficial and positive things back into your mind, body, and life.
So, don’t forget that our reactions to things are directly related to the content of our thoughts and our mental state. Starting the day in a positive frame of mind will greatly increase your chances of having a happy and successful day and will make you less vulnerable to outside negativity or hostility.
We can’t control the outside world, but we can control how we react to it, and we can certainly prepare our minds to be at their best every morning by taking a few minutes for ourselves.

What Is A Good Daily Affirmation?
There isn’t a single good affirmation that works for everyone or a single magical phrase that instantly makes everything perfect. However, there are numerous quotes, affirmations, phrases, and self-help books that you could read, write down, or think about every morning before beginning your day.
I find a few phrases and daily mantras to be motivating, uplifting, and reassuring. Aside from those, I’m also going to share some more specific ones, such as morning affirmations for gratitude, morning affirmations for abundance, and even morning affirmations for success. You can always twist these phrases, make your own, and make them work for you uniquely!

We cannot control everything that happens to us or around us, but we can control how we react to it and how we allow it to affect us.
Also, be aware that staying positive and maintaining your peace of mind may be more difficult on some days than others. The important thing is to keep working on it and try to return to the peace and calm you know is possible.
